Join us for a special performance by Jahnvi Madan, presented as part of "Mad Heart, Be Brave, "Fridman Gallery’s summer exhibition curated by Sadaf Pader.

Emerging jazz clarinetist and composer Jahnvi Madan presents an evocative set of original works and arrangements inspired by the poetry of Agha Shahid Ali, exploring themes of longing, love, and displacement.

Drawing from her perspective as a first-generation Kashmiri-Punjabi American, Madan weaves together personal and ancestral memory—inviting the audience to consider "home" not as a place, but as an emotion we carry with us. Her performance journeys through original compositions, pieces from the jazz tradition, and a reimagined Kashmiri lullaby.

She will be joined by her jazz quartet.
