Make Your Own Comics - Workshop Series with Nami Oshiro

Not everyone knows how simple and easy it can be to make your own comics. That’s what participants will experience in this hands-on workshop with comics artist Nami Oshiro. Creators of all ages and skill levels are invited to learn how to make their own comic books, from planning, to pencils, to finished product. Comics are one of the most accessible art forms – if you have a story, you can make a comic.
Instructor Bio: Nami Oshiro is an artist based in the Washington DC-Metro area. She attended the Corcoran College of Art + Design, where she received a Bachelor of Fine Art in Fine Art in 2012. She has been publishing her own comics independently since 2013, while her first professionally-published comic book is scheduled to be released by Holiday House in 2023.
