Cornelius O: And The Bull | Saturday, June 6th
"And the Bull" is Cornelius O’s performance as research in presence, and togetherness via a recitation of a semantically queer, automythographic poetic text. Shimmering between and to, the mundane, social pedantic and Theatrical, the performance touches on themes of queer desire, diaspora, generational trauma, and longing. A performance for up to 16 people that gives you a seat at the table for the squirm of uncertainty and the ease of togetherness.
He says: My mother said I've become Boarish.
He Says: And so I am.
He Says: Writhing on the bench - Writhing on the table - Becoming an animal.

Cornelius O is a conceptual artist working with performance, poetics and objects. Combining high theory, low entertainment and rigorous theatrical training- their performances tremble between theater, nightlife and choreography. Over 15 years of drag making and producing, their body of work follows threads of togetherness, queer futurity, theatricality, misreading, encounter and jokes. Implicitly queer but sick of saying it.
