Viva Palestina Orchestra (VPO) announces its second Free Falasteen Fest, held at its original inception venue, The Museum of Human Achievement (MoHA), where VPO had its first public performance at Free Falasteen Fest in January of 2024 and brought together the Austin community of cultures in music, art, and food. This year, Free Falasteen Fest - "Sin Fronteras" is a celebration without borders of all the cultures in our community that fight oppression and can unite in resistance through art, music, and spoken word.

The event will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2026 from 2-9pm at MoHA, 3600 Lyons Rd. Austin, TX 78702. We stand with our neighbors across the globe against the injustices that we are collectively facing. Join us for a day of music, storytelling, and community dedicated to the preservation and promotion of Palestinian and oppressed cultures around the world. We will also offer a variety of food, art, and vendors. VPO remains committed to its founding principle: transforming cultural engagement into global impact by supporting our partner organizations, uplifting those facing injustice in Austin and beyond. Tickets are $30 for general admission, and $20 for students.

This event is in part supported by an Elevate Grant of Austin Arts, Culture, Music, and Entertainment (AACME).

Venue Details

This event will be outdoors and indoors in an open air warehouse without climate control. Please dress according to the weather. MoHA has aging floors and a gravel parking lot. We recommend closed toe flat shoes.

Travel & Parking Information

MoHA is located behind the Canopy Art Complex in a gravel parking lot. Guests can park for free in our lot or find street parking.

There is a bike rack at the front right side of our building.
The closest bus stops are 7th/Springdale and Springdale/Govalle.

A TX incorporated Non profit, VPO brings together musicians of diverse cultural backgrounds from 16 countries to uplift Palestinians narratives and lived experiences. Since its inception, the orchestra has performed across multiple venues in Austin and throughout Texas and fundraised $150k + in relief efforts.
