Fundraising Screening for Iran: "Alborz, We Climb Mountains"
Join us on Friday, May 15, for a special screening of Maryam Sepehri’s documentary "Alborz, We Climb Mountains" (2023), followed by a discussion with the director and Persheng Sadegh-Vaziri.
"Alborz, We Climb Mountains" chronicles the storied history of Alborz High School, tracing the institution’s evolution from its 1873 origins as an American missionary school to becoming the country’s powerhouse of modern education. Through archival footage and personal interviews, Sepehri captures the school’s profound impact both within Iran and across its diasporas, amidst the backdrop of a shifting political landscape.
