Katie Alice Greer "Perfect Woman Sound Machine Vol. 1" NYC Record Release Show @ Living Gallery
Show the Seams presents >> a performance by Katie Alice Greer on the occasion of her new record Perfect Women Sound Machine vol. 1
Katie Alice Greer (Priests, Chain & the Gang, Sister Polygon Records co-founder) is a singer, songwriter and artist in Los Angeles. Greer returns to Brooklyn for the first time since 2023 for one of two bi-coastal record release shows. Perfect Woman Sound Machine Vol. 1's title was inspired by a novelty gas station toy with buttons that make "perfect woman" sounds on command. Clocking in at 27 minutes, the record is "necessary chaos, as it goes from lush and dreamy to soundtracking the apocalypse" (Melt) and "feels like an on-the-ground dispatch from a city that only exists in everyone else's dreams" (Chris Richards).
Greer’s one-night-only Brooklyn band features Daniele Yandel (Priests, Gauche, Sister Polygon Records co-founder) on drums, and frequent collaborator guitarist producer Lilah Larson (Ezra Furman, Bambara, Cassandra Jenkins). Full bill to be announced!
